Close

Close

You have become the darkest,
barest winter tree
only bones and breath
holding you in
But as I layed beneath
your golden reach
I became full-on summer lush
my seaweed hair entangling you
whole and healthy
filling the space with living air
So close to me - you were
I let go of where my body ended
and yours began
While suspecting scant chance
the universe would leave us be
While in some portal of mind
I lay in warmth
you gently brushing my back
As the blue earth turns in space
